7th annual FEFA Europe Day Conference

Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration – FEFA, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia and the Fund for an Open Society, is organizing the seventh annual conference on the occasion of Europe Day on the topic: "How to Negotiate with the EU" on May 8, 2013 from 9 AM to 1 PM at FEFA.

The introductory remarks will be made by Dr Goran Pitić, President of the FEFA Council, and the keynote speeches will be given by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić (to be confirmed) and H.E. Vincent Deger, Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia.

Experiences from previous EU enlargements will be shared by Dr Peter Balasz, the former European Commissioner for Transport and the Chief Negotiator with the EU from Hungary, H.E. Franc But, Ambassador of Slovenia to Serbia and the Slovenian Deputy Chief Negotiator with the EU, Mr. Vladimir Drobnjak, the Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Croatia and Tomaš Stražay, member of the negotiating team with the EU from Slovakia. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Mihailo Crnobrnja from FEFA.

In the panel concerning Serbia’s Accession Negotiations, introductory remarks will be given by Mr. Miloš Erić from FEFA, followed by presentations from Mr. Milan Pajević, Director of the Serbian European Integration Office, Dr Milica Delević, President of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, Dr Jadranka Jelinčić, Director of the Fund for an Open Society in Serbia, Ms. Tatjana Babić, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Serbia and Dr Ana S. Trbovich, Dean of FEFA.

Dr Mihailo Crnobrnja, the Director of the FEFA Center for European Integration and Public Administration, will deliver closing remarks.

12th Economic summit entitled “Building an integral vision for Serbia’s future” was held on October 22-23, 2012 in Belgrade. FEFA was represented by Dr Ana S. Trbovich, FEFA Dean. The summit is considered to be one of the most important economic and business conferences in Serbia as an overview of country’s economic and political outlook, as well as its progress on the path towards EU. More than 400 participants attend annually the event and have the opportunity to learn more about the economic policies of the Serbian Government and meet counterparts from Serbia and abroad.
