Our Activities:

FEFA Centre for European Integration and Public Administration works closely with the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, Serbian Government Office for European Integration, Delegation of the European Commission in Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, diplomatic representatives and foundations of EU member states, as well as other NGOs and academic institutions in Serbia and abroad.

Select Academic and Research Initiatives:

  • Relations Between Serbia And The Eu History And ProspectsMost recently, FEFA has been engaged in EU-funded TEMPUS Project "Development of Public Administration and Management Studies in Serbia (2009-2012)". The specific goals of this project are improvement and development of public administration curricula, teaching methods, interdisciplinary approach i studies, cooperation between public – and private institutions and the system of lifelong learning for public administration officials supported by modernization of learning environment. Our EU Partners are University of Florence, University of Valencia, New Bulgarian University and PASOS network of European policy centers headquartered in the Czech Republic.
  • In 2009, FEFA conducted a large study with 64 researchers on the Impact Analysis of Serbia’s EU Accession, published in October 2009. This cost-benefit analysis of Serbia’s EU accession relies on a rather broad methodology and aims at determining the quantitative and qualitative effects of the process. Partners to FEFA in this study have been the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, representing the business sector, and the Serbian Government, as its main beneficiary. Beside the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the study was financially supported by the Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia, the UK Department for International Development – DFID, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the French Embassy and the Fund for an Open Society. This volume contains the summaries of the main findings and recommendations. The book also contains articles by domestic and international authors that were initially presented at the annual FEFA conference “Impact of Serbia’s Integration into the European Union”, which took place on 9 May 2009, the Europe Day.   • In 2008, in collaboration with the Centre for Enlargement Studies of the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, FEFA participated in a large comparative study “Integration Perspectives and Synergic Effects of European Transformation In the Countries targeted by EU Enlargement and Neighborhood Policies” and later published a research paper that presented the case of Serbia: Relations between Serbia and the EU: History and Prospects
  • In 2007-2010, FEFA collaborated with the French Embassy in Belgrade to implement a grant to organize trainings for FEFA graduate students and Serbian civil servants in EU issues, delivered by the Centre for European Studies from Strasbourg and other workshops, as well as to translate a book on Decision-making in the European Union to Serbian language.
