Quality education that emphasises applied knowledge and skills based on best international practices
FEFA - Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration was founded in December 2001, in Belgrade, to provide high quality studies as an attractive alternative for young generations in Serbia, so that they stay in the country and acquire quality university education. FEFA also attracts professionals to its graduate studies, with a multidisciplinary and practical approach to learning. FEFA studies are in conformity with the European standards and the principles of the Bologna Declaration. They are also fully accredited by the Serbian Commision for Accreditation and Quality Control.
For more about our faculty, please see the short biographies here. Please note that many have graduated from top international educational institutions and have successful professional careers, which enriches our teaching approach.
Fore more about the study programmes, please see here. We have drawn on best international practices and introduced mandatory internships for students and additional skills such as languages, communication and IT skills.
Supporting Serbia's EU accession and successful EU membership by supplying EU-trained professionals and conducting research studies
As European integration curriculum represents one of core modules that FEFA offers to its prospective graduates, the institution has always sought people who have substantial knowledge in the field, including professional experience. Key teaching staff have all held a high-level government administration post relating directly to European integration, and some have significant NGO expertise. The very same team was responsible for introducing and heading the first EU-related government body in Serbia, which evolved into Office for European Integration. FEFA now engages in applied research projects, and in 2009 a team of 50 researchers led by FEFA completed an economic impact analysis of Serbia's EU accession, which was supported by both the government and the private sector. FEFA was also a Serbian partner of Central European University in Budapest for EU impact study and transition report that involved integration effects in 12 countries and that was commissioned by the European Commission. For more about the FEFA master degree in management focusing on European integration and public administration and policy, please see here.
Enhancing Serbia's competitiveness
In addition to researching EU issues, FEFA specialises in the study of competitiveness, maintaining an affiliate relationship with the Institute for Competitiveness at the Harvard Business School. We also focus on development and transition economics, corporate governance and finance, and education reform.
Active role in Serbia's society
FEFA organises an annual conference dedicated to Europe day, and many round table discussions on various economic issues, with participation (and support) of independent economic experts, highest government officials, journalists and students, making every project highly visible in both academic community and the wider civil society. FEFA has also organised trainings for civil servants and private sector participants on topics relating to EU accession, such as trainings on competition policy, EU lobbying and others, often in collaboration with other globally-recognised academic institutions such as the Centre for European Studies in Strasbourg, France.
FEFA Fund
FEFA Fund is a non-profit organisation that acts as a social responsibility arm of FEFA, engaging in projects as diverse as the annual tennis tournament organised by students for charity purposes and advocacy and public awareness actions.
